My most successful piece of art was probably the environment because I did a lot of fixing and editing to get the picture right.I also messed up about 5 or 6 times because I wanted my clouds to look realistic and not like a third grader. So I went to the shelf and looked up clouds to fit the technique I was doing. Also I tried to go the extra distance and added a river with a little shading.
I overcame most obstacles in my man vs. machine project. Because I wanted to do something that no one else did because everybody was putting a human arm wrestling a robotic arm .I thought threw it and decided to show something with art material. And when i started to draw, it actually came out really good.
The 2 pieces that show my growth as an artist would probably the mixed media and the environment.I spent lots of time and thought to put those together and actually a couple of days to draw both of them the environment in particular. They also made me feel like I put a lot of effort into the pieces to meet above my standard. I even took them both a little further then what you asked of us.
I liked it better because you gave us more choices and we didn't have to be forced to do something we didn't like. For example if a student did not like to paint he would not have to he could pick oil pastels if he wanted to so i feel like its expanding our art knowledge but not making us all do the same subject if we did not like to do it.
